Sally J. Staley, 88, of Perryopolis, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022. Born in Irwin on July 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Verner Taylor. Sally was a member of the Christian Center Church in Rostraver. She was a wonderful homemaker and really took care of all her family. She is survived by her children, Dorothy Staley of Lancaster, Nancy (Jim) Kennedy of Rostraver, Sandy Staley of Lancaster, Eric R. (Michele) Staley of Smithdale, Nina Lass of Ephrata, Pa., and Ian M. Staley of North Versailles; daughter-in-law, Tisha Staley of Donora; grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, Sharaya, Michael, Brittany, Caitlyn, Jessica, Sarah and Fontaine; as well as several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Staley; and son, Walter D. Staley. At Sally’s request, there will be no public visitation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. The family would like to thank The Hallsworth House and OSPTA Hospice for its loving and compassionate care of Sally.
