Edmund A. Masci Jr., 68, of Monessen, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born on Oct. 28, 1953, in North Charle-roi, the son of the late Edmund A. Masci Sr. and Mildred Tweardy Masci. Eddie graduated in 1971 from Monessen High School, where he played varsity basketball. He worked at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and later was employed as a parimutual clerk at the Meadows Race Track in Washington. He was a member of the Belgium Club in North Charleroi and a former member of Eagles Aerie 2399, Elks 773, ISMA, French Club and Hilltop Firemen’s Club, all in Monessen. He is survived by a sister, Linda (Mark) O’Keefe of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a brother, Mark Masci of Monessen; a nephew, Bryan (Haven) O’Keefe of Washington, D.C.; a niece, Ashley (Andy) Maurer; a great-niece, Alivia Grace Maurer and great-nephew, Drew Maurer, all of Harrisburg; an uncle, Lawrence Masci; and an aunt, Loretta DiBiaso, both of Monessen; and by several cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a blessing service with Father Michael J. Crookston officiating. Inurnment will be in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum, Monessen.
