MVI reporter retiring after 40-year journalism career

As the new year begins, so does the next chapter of my life — retirement.
I have been a full-time professional journalist for the past 40 years, starting as a writer/producer and editor at an all-news radio station before switching to print. Most of my print career was spent in Fayette and Washington counties. For the past two years, I have been here at the Mon Valley Independent, covering portions of Allegheny and Westmoreland counties and working with an amazing group of journalists.
