Joseph Lee Green, 21, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 2000, in Monongahela, son of Dale and Kim McWilliams Green. Joey was a 2019 graduate of Ringgold High School. He attended the Culinary Arts Program at Steel Center for Career and Technical Education in Jefferson Hills. He loved cooking, baking and crafting. He enjoyed participating at Camp Inspire at The Woodlands in Wexford, an overnight camp for children and teens with complex medical conditions. His favorite time of year was Christmas, and he radiated the magic of the season wherever he went. Joey endured a lot of adversity in his life, but he never complained. He touched the lives of many, including more than 100 nurses who took care of him throughout the years. Joey left everyone he met with a warm heart and happy spirit. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Andrew and wife Lindsey McWilliams of Jeannette, and Todd Green at home; three nephews and a niece, Dean, Brock, Jaxon and Lily; paternal grandmother, Bette Polacek Green of New Eagle; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Green; and maternal grandparents, Gary McWilliams and Alberta Joki. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, with the Rev. Josh Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Inspire at The Woodlands; Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, ATTN: Ashley Laber, P.O.
