Charles Thomas “Charlie” Groff III, 67, of Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away Dec. 17, 2021. He was a retired industrial painter. Charlie loved gardening, woodworking, camping and enjoyed raising his daughter after having six sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Grace Groff; brother, Ronald William Groff; father-in-law, Merrill Stephens; and brother-in-law, Wayne Stephens. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Stephens Groff; sons, Ryan Groff (Lindsey), Aaron Groff, Kenny Stephens Groff (Stephanie), Jeremy Stephens Groff (Jamey), Christopher Groff (Sheri) and Ryan Koons (Taylor); daughter, Natalya Groff; grandchildren: Ryan Groff, Hayden Groff, Isabella Stephens, Colton Stephens, Andrew Stephens, Alaina Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens, Akyra Traver (Stephens), Landon Traver (Stephens), Trevor Groff, Bodhi Groff, Jayce Keener, Trevor  Keener, Brynne Keener, Ava Hiles, Kevin Hiles, Kyle Hiles and soon to be born, Lucas Groff; sisters, Susan Yacura (Dan), Patty Murray (Jim), Mary Ellen Crosby and Donna Groff; special friends, William and Bonnie Butler; along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at CLICK FUNERAL HOME in Lenoir City.
