Joanie Ranft, 61, of Monongahela, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, in AHN Jefferson Hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1960, in New Eagle, the daughter of the late John and Cleta Jerin Koteles. Joanie was a homemaker and had a passion for craft making. She was the youngest of her siblings, always made time for her family and took care of everyone. She is survived by her husband, John Ranft ,with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage on Aug. 26, 2021; two daughters, Tina Patterson and her husband Roger and Tammy Hamilton and her husband Jonathan, all of Jefferson Hills; four grandchildren, Garrett and Tayler Patterson, Alyssa Fayne and Destiny Hamilton; two brothers, Andrew Koteles and his wife Kim of Canonsburg, Joe Koteles and Roseann Trovato of North Versailles; four sisters, Nancy Necciai and her husband Nick of New Eagle, Doris “Punchy” Jenkins of McKeesport, Mary Ann “Cookie” Smith and husband Wayne of Clairton, Linda Fisher of Finleyville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Kaminsky; and brother, Dennis Koteles. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23. Interment will follow in the Mingo Cemetery, Finleyville. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
