Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ LaBrasca
On Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, Jacqueline “Jackie” LaBrasca, was called to eternal peace and passed away at the age of 71. Jackie was born on June 29, 1950, to Bruno and Dorothy Paterline and was raised in Charleroi. She graduated from Charleroi High School in 1968 and went on to West Virginia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She taught speech and language at DuBois Area High School. She was a dedicated Catholic and found much comfort in her faith. Jackie savored many hobbies. In her youth, she was an exercise enthusiast. She also appreciated fashion, with a particular interest in jewelry. She loved movies, and there were few horror movies she did not see. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts and later in life, card making. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy; her two children, Dr. Algie LaBrasca and Mistica LaBrasca Zeli, along with their spouses; four beloved grandchildren, Algie, Gianna, Rylan and Luca; four siblings; and numerous other friends and family she loved. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruno. There will be no public visitation. A private service will be held for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the DuBois United Way, 223 South Jared St., DuBois, PA 15801, or by going to www.unitedway.org/local/united-states/pennsylvania/dubois-area-united-way.
