Edward John Fabian – Rostraver Township

Edward John Fabian, 85, of Rostraver Township, passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021. He was the son of Mary Zalom and Emory Fabian Sr., born Dec. 31, 1935, and was the youngest of eight siblings; Emory (Mary), Mary (William Cowell), William, Elizabeth (E.H. “Jake” Johnson), Eugene (Dorothy Winn), Florence (Joseph Barisa) and David (Mary Jane Rugolski). He married Sandra Nobel on Feb. 8, 1958. They had three children, Cynthia (David Mascone); Michael (the late Mary Toth); and Patrick (Kathleen Kirchner). He had four grandchildren, Michael Mascone, Stephanie Mascone, Adam Fabian (Mariselle) and Brett Fabian (Adrienne); and three great-grandchildren, Penelope Fabian, Kennedy Fabian and Elias Fabian. Ed graduated from Charleroi High School, Class of 1953, and spent 37 years as a tool and die maker at General Motors in Pittsburgh. He was a lifetime member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Saint Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family is requesting masks be worn during both visitation and funeral Mass. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Edward J. Fabian to St. Sebastian Church, Rostraver Public Library or Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services. For those not able to attend the funeral Mass, it will be livestreamed via the funeral home website at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22.
