Marlene Ero Parker, age 79, of Palm Harbor, Fla., originally of McKeesport, died peacefully in her home on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. Marlene was born March 23, 1942, in McKeesport. She lived her early years there, graduating from McKeesport High School, Class of 1960. After high school, she graduated from McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing and then Upsala College with a master’s degree in human resources management. Marlene was very active in her community in Vernon, N.J., where she taught aerobic dancing and ferried her children to their multiple activities while they were young. In 1998, she moved to Palm Harbor, Fla., where she worked as a patient advocate with United Healthcare, a job she really enjoyed, helping families with complex medical conditions find the care they needed. Marlene is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren, Tracy Parker (Marcus Crawshaw) and children Noah, McKenna and Benjamin of Long Beach, Calif., Brett Parker (Amy) and children Lucas and Ethan of New York, N.Y., and Allison Parker of Palm Harbor, Fla.; as well as dear sisters, Bonnie (Albert) Gaudio of Rostraver and Patricia (Bill) Beattie of Germantown, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul Ero and Helen Ero; and her precious grandson, Tyler Crawshaw. A memorial will be scheduled soon in Palm Harbor, Fla., when Marlene’s family can gather together to celebrate her life.
