Dana ‘Scott’ Wright – California, Pa., formerly of Monongahela

Dana “Scott” Wright, 59, of California, Pa., formerly of Monongahela, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, in his home. Born Oct. 25, 1962, in Waynesburg, he is the son of Richard F. “Dick” Wright of Greenock and the late Penny A. Tosi Wright, who passed away Jan. 19, 2021. A member of the former Mary Mother of the Church in Charleroi, “Scotty” was a 1981 graduate of Ringgold High School and was the captain of the Ringgold varsity hockey team, leading the state in scoring at one point. Surviving are two sons, Scott (Whitney) Wright of Belle Vernon and Zac (Maria) Wright of Fallowfield Township; a daughter, Nicole (Vinnie) Destefano of Fallowfield Township; four grandchildren, Angelina, Vincenzo and Caterina Destefano and Brynleigh Wright; a brother, Richard F. Wright III (Denise) of Greenock; and sister Linda, (Dan) Drnach of Donora; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
