Scout exceeds goal in helping area homeless

It’s great to have goals. It’s even better to exceed them. Jacob Kotchman, 17, of California set out to raise enough donations to fill 30 backpacks for the homeless for his Eagle Scout project. Kotchman, the son of Renae and Larry Kotchman of California and a member of Troop 1391 in Fredericktown, soared far above that goal.
