Sophie J. Ferenac, age 96, of Greenock, passed away at home on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. Born March 7, 1925, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose Ziemianski Novak. Sophia was a billing supervisor for Tube City Inc. in Glassport. She is survived by her nephew, Richard (Diane) Tomkowitz of Boston, Pa.; and several cousins. Sophie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ferenac, who passed away April 27, 2016; and her brothers, Louis and Anthony Novak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home & Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Boro, McKeesport, PA 15132, 412-678-3454. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church, McKeesport, with Father Bruce Sleczkowski officiating. Burial to follow in Mt.
