Jack B. Chester, 78, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Ray and Virginia Bradley Chester, he was born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 25, 1943. Jack was a member of First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon and retired in 2015 from Eagle Express Lines of Chicago, where he was a truck driver. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, enjoyed golfing and going to his hunting camp. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Laurie Chester and Dana and Tanya Chester, all of Monessen; four grandchildren Zachary Chester, Courtney Chester, Payton Chester and Maci Chester; and two nephews, Bob Greer (Linda) of West Mifflin and Mike and Betty Greer of Toledo, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Greer in 2014. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, the time of the funeral service, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300 , www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, with Pastor Ryan Washabaugh officiating.
