Raymond S. Thompson Jr. – North Belle Vernon

Raymond S. Thompson Jr., 75, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at his home. Born May 19, 1946, in Brownsville, he was the son of the late Raymond Thompson Sr. and Helen Schwenk Thompson. A resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 40 years, he was a veteran of the Vietnam era, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968 as an aviation electronics technician. Raymond was a director of Operation Outward Reach, Youngwood, until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed antiquing with his wife, Lois, reading history and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lois Burrows Thompson, to whom he was married to for 42 years; daughter, Kristine Jones and fiancé Jack Wright of Rostraver Township; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Erin Thompson of Harleysville; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Keith Kuzmovich of Cranberry Township; sister, Dorothy Masciotti of Yardley; six grandchildren, Kristian Shepler, Nathan Shepler, Katherine Thompson, Lillian Thompson, Marina Kuzmovich and Daniel Kuzmovich; two brothers-in-law, Edward Burrows and wife Mary, and David Burrows and Maria Rodriguez; two nephews, Drew Masciotti and Edward Burrows; and a great-nephew, Camren Masciotti. Private family visitation and funeral services were held Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
