Margaret Cecelia Kopach, 94, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2021, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Stockdale on April 29, 1927, Margaret is the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Sninchak Krivacek. Although born in Stockdale, Margaret was raised in Roscoe and was a member of many clubs and organizations, including Saint Cyril Methodius Travelers Club, Charleroi Golden Agers, Charleroi Band Boosters and a Mon Valley Superstars as a Marching Mother. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved cat, Buddy, gardening, cooking, watching cooking shows and was very proud of her contest-winning recipes. Surviving to cherish Margaret’s memory are her son, Samuel James Kopach Jr. and his fiancée, Eva Nichols; sister, Catherine Martin; sister-in-law, Donna Krivacek; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kopach was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel James Kopach Sr.; sister, Julia Brudnik; brother, Paul Krivacek; and her dear friends, Emma Pavlikowski, Sue Dolan and Ann Picinotti. Per Margaret’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or formal funeral services. A memorial celebrating her memory will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., (formerly Schrock- Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022, Kirk Russell Melenyzer, funeral director.
