Jan Ellen Tintori Rosenau, 65, of Upper Marlboro, Md., formerly of Belle Vernon, left this world on Nov. 21, 2021. The sole child of the late Robert Lee Tintori and Eula Mae Dietrich Tintori, she was born in Belle Vernon on Nov. 23, 1955. Jan was a certified elementary special education teacher for 40 years, ensuring the children received a great learning experience. She was known for being well prepared for each day as well as her flexibility to adapt when required to lead a class that she was not previously assigned. Starting long before retirement, Jan got together with several of the neighborhood “golden girls” every morning to get their 10,000 steps in. Jan and her husband, Dave, traveled whenever they could find the time with Acadia National Park being the highlight. Survivors include her husband, David M. Rosenau, and two sons and a daughter in-law, Justin C. Rosenau of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Tyler M. and Mary Palmer Rosenau of Pensacola, Fla. A remembrance celebration will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 11, 2021, at FOP Lodge 89, 2905 Old Largo Road, Upper Marlboro, MD  20772. Arrangements have been entrusted to FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Meals on Wheels.
