Richard “Rick” T. Mitchell, 46, of North Belle Vernon, formerly of Roscoe, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at Penn Highlands Health Care, Mon Valley, Monongahela. Born Feb. 3, 1975, in North Charleroi, he was the son of Richard Mitchell of North Belle Vernon and the late Susan D. Stefansky Mitchell, who passed away June 17, 2019. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Rick was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church and was employed at Goodyear in Youngwood in the quality control department. Rick enjoyed riding his motorcycle and most of all his children were his life. He always enjoyed taking them to Kennywood, especially Fright Nights, and loved spending time with them doing various activities. In addition to his father, he is survived by his four children, Evan Mitchell, Arria Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell and Zander Mitchell, all of Roscoe; sister, Prudence and William Pierce of California; two nephews, Austin Pierce and Tanner Pierce; and a niece, Katelyn Pierce. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Melba Mitchell; and his maternal grandparents, Rose and Paul Stefansky. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating.
