John L. Lenhart – Fallowfield Township

John L. Lenhart, 71, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at home and surrounded by his family. He was born in North Charleroi, on June 10, 1950, son of the late John J. and Virtue Davidson Lenhart. John was retired after 40 years from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Allenport. For the past 13 years John and his wife, Evona, have owned and operated Lenhart’s Tavern, which will continue to remain open. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camp in Elk County. Because of John’s love for beer, he was known as “Beer Break.” John is survived by his wife, Evona Bagay Lenhart; two daughters, Kerie Lenhart of Charleroi and Kelly (David) O’Brien of Fallowfield Township; three grandchildren, Brianna and Derek Wilson and Nora O’Brien; his sister, Dolores Cook of Calera, Ala.; brother-in-law, James Gaidos of Carroll Township; and nieces and nephew, Tammy Cook and James and Charlene Gaidos. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Gaidos. John’s family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, especially Taisha, Cindy, Heidi and Daisy. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, with the Rev. Larry Coltura presiding.
