Susan Amati, 74, of Carroll Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born in Pittsburgh, on May 15, 1947, daughter of the late Milton L. Dick and the late Emma E. Skourn Dick. Susan graduated from Langley High School and attended California University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained her master’s degree in special education. She was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and was a CCD teacher for many years at the former Transfiguration Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Beth Reichel, on March 22, 2009; and a brother, Richard Dick. Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Louis Amati III; two sons, Lou Amati and Michael Amati; six grandchildren, Tayton, Teagan, Louie, Anthony, Andrew and Case; a sister, Helen Salamon; a brother, Raymond Dick; and a son-in-law, Kevin Reichel. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. Private family visitation and Mass of Christian burial were held at the convenience of the family. Entombment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
