Susan Faye Rountree – Fayette City

Susan Faye Rountree, 60, of Fayette City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at AGH Jefferson Hospital. A daughter of the late Keith Livingstone and Dolores Faye Livingstone, who survives and resides in Fayette City, she was born in North Charleroi on Jan. 10, 1961. A lifelong resident of Fayette City, Susan was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Grindstone and a Sunday school superintendent and secretary for many years at the Fayette City Alliance Church. Susan loved sewing quilts and gifts for her family and friends. She was employed by Douglas Education Center in Monessen for 17 years, retiring in 2016. Susan is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Rountree; one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Chandra Weaver of Rostraver Township; two stepsons, Allyn Rountree, stationed at March Air Force Base, California and Eric Rountree of Kingsport, Tenn.; a stepdaughter and her husband, Alyssa and Dan Herrell of Johnson City, Tenn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Rose Livingstone of Fayette City; five grandchildren, Amy, Joshua and Justin Hale and Josiah and Seth Weaver; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. in the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 3, with the Rev. Dr. Mitch Wall officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family requests face masks be worn in the funeral home.
