On Giving Tuesday, the board of the Allegheny Regional Asset District, more commonly known as RAD, passed its 2022 budget.
The $118 million spending plan for next year is the largest in RAD’s history and includes funding to be used within parks in the Mon Valley. The 2022 RAD budget authorizes $102.6 million in general operating support to 101 organizations, with an additional $14.4 million to support capital projects. It will be funded by a projected $107 million in 2022 sales tax revenue, with the remainder coming from RAD’s grant stabilization reserve fund.
