Historic Christmas lights will once again light the streets of North Belle Vernon.
For years, the fire department has been trying to raise enough money to replace the iconic lights that have been a Mon Valley fixture for decades. Between production orders at the U.S. Steel mill, the men asked their boss if they could use the scrap metal for their project. Each light fixture features a red bell and two green wreaths, which firefighters continue to install themselves each year.
