Tammy Lynn Adams, 54, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at AGH Jefferson Hospital. She was born Oct. 4, 1967, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Harold and Carol Truitt States Sr. Tammy was a 1985 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. After graduation, she attended business school for accounting. She was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm. She was currently working at Allegheny Valley Transfer in Pittsburgh, where she had been employed for the past 30 years. She was a member of the River Hill Church of Christ. Tammy loved nature, especially watching and feeding the birds, driving to the mountains and to different parks. One of her favorite trips was to visit Erie and enjoy the wineries. She is survived by her husband, Brian D. Adams, with whom she celebrated 30 years of marriage on Feb. 15, 2021; daughter, Shannon Adams (Matthew Gross) of Monongahela; two brothers and a sister, twins, Harold States Jr. of Iowa and Regina Kerlin of Carroll Township and Thomas States of Charleroi; and her beloved dog, Brandy Rose. Visitations and funeral services with the Rev. Paul Eisaman officiating were private. Interment followed at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora with military honors accorded by the Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
