Sam Suppa Jr. – Belle Vernon, Washington Township

Sam Suppa Jr., 73, of Belle Vernon, Washington Town-ship, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. Born Dec. 16, 1947, in Uniontown, he was the son of the late Sam Suppa Sr. and Jean Zugaro Suppa. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Suppa was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and was a retired supervisor from U.S. Steel, Clairton Works. Sam was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon, was an avid weightlifter, enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all traveling to the beach and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Annette Tomalski Suppa, to whom he was married 55 years; son, Sam Scott Suppa of South Carolina; two daughters, Angela Jean Suppa and Tom of Belle Vernon, and Barbra Anne Cloar of Wooster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Sarilyn Suppa, Hunter Suppa, Anna Sedlak, Allyson Sedlak, T.J. Sedlak, Noah Cloar, Casey Cloar and Emily Cloar; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Nick Affinito of Belle Vernon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Debbie Tomalski; three sisters-in-law, Marcella Niccolai, Marie Tonarelli and Dorothy Ramsier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Argirakis. Arrangements handled by PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Condolences are accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
