Arthur Patrick Benoit Jr., 66, of Monongahela, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Arthur Patrick and Athalene Lilley Benoit. Art was Catholic by faith. He was formerly employed as a welder in the switch and signal division at Westinghouse Airbrake Co. in Swissvale and in the maintenance department at Bettis Atomic in West Mifflin. Art loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and animals. He was a generous and thoughtful man who enjoyed giving people gifts. He is survived by his son, Arthur Patrick Benoit III of Bentleyville; two sisters, Joan Denise Brown of Tampa, Fla., and Judith Elaine Lindberg and husband Kenneth Ames of Davenport, Fla.; brother, Ronald Todd Benoit and wife Valerie Jean of Glassport; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, with the Rev. Kevin Dominik officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
