Louis J. Ceccarelli Jr., 91, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. Born Sept. 1, 1930, in North Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Louis Ceccarelli Sr. and Mary Lupori Ceccarelli. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, Mr. Ceccarelli was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was a retired plumber/pipefitter from Local Union 354, Latrobe. Lou was a life member, past fire chief and past president of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family at their camp. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Paul Peters of McDonough, Ga., and Debbie and Bill Konecheck of Louisa, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelly Ceccarelli of Belle Vernon; eight grandchildren, Justin and Erin Peters, Lauren and Ryan Heald, Benjamin William and Alex Konecheck, Joshua and Emily Konecheck, Christopher and Kelly Ceccarelli, Jennifer and Andrew Popelas, Charles R. “Ziggy” Biksey, Samantha and John Stone; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilee Stark of Zanesville, Ohio, and Judith Moody of North Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance “Connie” J. Gaul Ceccarelli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jackie and Robert Baldwin; and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Moody and George Stark. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a noon funeral Mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church, with the Rev. Bill Feeney as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
