Julia Turick DeCurtis – Monessen

Julia Turick DeCurtis, 99, of Monessen, died Friday Nov. 26, 2021, in The Residence at Hilltop. She was born on July 13, 1922, in Naomi, the daughter of the late John and Mary Mihealsick Turick. Mrs. DeCurtis was Orthodox by faith and a 1940 graduate of Belle Vernon High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Michael M. DeCurtis Jr., six brothers, George, Charles, Michael, Andrew, John and Metro Turick; three sisters, Mary Turick, Helen Sibley and Anna Rosnick; and her son-in-law, John L. Swann. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Michele Swann of Monessen and Jacqueline DeCurtis-Holder (Hugh) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, Michael M. (Terri) DeCurtis III of Nottingham Township; two grandsons, John (Tracey) Swann Jr. of Monessen and David (Ali) Swann of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a great-grandson, Tyler Swann; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2021. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in the funeral home with the Rev. Constantine Curchin officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
