Michael J. Demo – Monongahela

Michael J. Demo, 66, of Monongahela, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, in VA Hospital, H.J. Heinz Campus. He was born on Feb. 6, 1955, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Michael and Rita Henry Demo. Mike grew up in Monessen and attended Monessen High School prior to joining the U.S. Army. He served his country in Kuwait, the Operation Just Cause invasion of Panama and Desert Storm. He retired as a staff sergeant. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1190 in Monessen and was a former member of the American Legion Post 212 in Donora. He is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth M. Malone of Rostraver Township and W. Lee Vileck of Cleveland, Ohio; fiancée Margaret “Peggy” Suckell of Monongahela; two half-sisters, Mary Lou Demo of Canonsburg and Edna Demo of Charleroi; half-brother, Michael Thomas Demo of Charleroi; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Irma Henry; paternal grandparents, Michael and Elizabeth Demo; three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Donald Demo; and by a sister, Nickolena Martin. Friends will be received at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24., in the funeral home with Pastor Henry Frain officiating. Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
