Evelyn R. Premoshis – Fayette City

Evelyn R. Premoshis, 91, of Fayette City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, in the Residence at Hilltop. A daughter of the late Chester E. and Carrie K. Furner Burnside, she was born in Wolf’s Summit, W.Va., on June 29, 1930. A resident of Fayette City since 1947, Evelyn attended Little Redstone United Methodist Church in Fayette City, where she was active in funeral dinners and fund raising. She was a member of the Senior Bowling League and Morningstar Grange and enjoyed sewing. Evelyn worked for the former Fee’s Pharmacy, then retired from the Fayette City Post Office after 12 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Maria Bianchi Premoshis of Washington Township; two daughters, Catherine Tournay of Lithia, Fla., and Cynthia Peternel of Belle Vernon; a brother, Chester Burnside of Fayette City; a sister, Roberta Smiley of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Tournay, Abby (Scott) Hastings, Dustin (Lynnsi) Premoshis and Casey Premoshis (Matthew Coulson); and five great-grandchildren, Alivia Premoshis, Jack Hastings, Coralie Tournay, Allie Hastings and Molly Premoshis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Premoshis in 2011; and two sons-in-law, Patrick Peternel in 2013 and Wayne Tourney in 2015. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., the time of the funeral service, Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Pastor Jack Washabaugh will be officiating.
