Debra Jane Lenart, age 62, of Donora, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021. She was the daughter of the late James Rhodes Sr. and the late Frances Cooper Rhodes. Debra was the beloved wife of Theodore P. Lenart for 36 years. She had been diagnosed with lung and brain cancer. Driven by her unshakable faith, she continued to quietly fight through every challenge with courage, dignity and grace. Deb was a head cashier at Shop N’ Save/Giant Eagle in Carroll Township for 26 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Pratti; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Bungard and Rick Boardly. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Theodore Lenart; a stepson, Jason (Heather) Lenart of Aliquippa; her beloved grandson, Colton Lenart of Aliquippa; three sisters, Barbara Bungard of Rostraver, Diane (Ken) Lang of Monongahela and Donna Boardly of Washington, Pa.; four brothers, Donald (Yun) Rhodes of Virginia, Gary (Laurie) Rhodes of Charleroi, Jim (Sherry) Rhodes and Dwayne Rhodes; a niece and godchild, Jamie (Justin) Koermer of Charleroi; and several other nieces and nephews. She was supported by her wonderful friends, Kittsie Behanna of Carroll Township, Charlotte and Paul DeBerrardinis of Donora and Carol and Michael Scheer of Ross Township, Pittsburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900. Per Debra’s request, there will be no visitation or memorial services. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
