Curtis Eugene Ramsey – Port Vue

Curtis Eugene Ramsey, 62, of Port Vue, passed away at home Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. He was born Nov. 1, 1959, in Clairton and was the son of the late Joseph E. Ramsey Jr. and of Florence Coughenour Ramsey of Clairton. Curtis was a U.S. Marine veteran, receiving his Rifle Marksman Badge, the Good Conduct Medal and was also a cook for three years. Curtis worked numerous jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a salesman for Comcast, but a lot of people knew him as “Mr. C, the TV Man.” During the pandemic, Curtis enjoyed delivering meals for the food bank and always left a surprise on your porch. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Melanie (Lonzo) Ramsey of Port Vue; sons, Todd Ramsey of Monongahela and Ricky Klein of Port Vue; daughter, Ashlee (Eric) Klein of Port Vue; grandchildren, Jaylee Cooke, Ava and Autumn Goldberg, Shelby Ramsey and Ben Marchovich; siblings, Mary Ann Martin of Clairton, David (Kim) Ramsey of Jefferson Hills and Craig (Connie) Ramsey of Forward Township; mother-in-law, Cheryl Buzzard of Glassport; and sister-in-law, Valerie (daughters, Brianna and Jeanell) Buzzard of McKeesport; along with nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his father, Curtis was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Sickler. Friends are welcome from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at GILBERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 5 p.m. following visitation with the Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Jefferson Memorial Park, where there will be military honors. Condolences may be made at Gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com.
