Salute to Santa parade returns to McKeesport

Santa Claus is coming back to town.
For the first time in 56 years, the man with the bright red suit missed his chance to be ushered into McKeesport atop a city fire truck by a Christmas parade in 2020 as the 2020 Christmas parade was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor Michael Cherepko announced during Wednesday night’s meeting the Salute to Santa Parade will return Nov. 20 on Fifth Avenue in the city’s downtown business district.
