Shirley Ann Matway – Charleroi

Shirley Ann Matway, 81, of Charleroi, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at Manor Care, Whitehall. The daughter of Steve and Anna Seman Matway, she was born in Arnold City on March 19, 1940. Shirley lived most of her life in Perryopolis and was a member of The Church of Saint John the Baptist. She loved the holidays and did beautiful holiday decorating. She faced many challenges in her life, but was always kind and concerned about others. Survivors include her aunt, Helen Biksey; godson, David Seman; and many cousins who loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Matway. There will be no visitation. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at 2021, at St. John the Baptist Church, Perryopolis. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
