John Michael Hreno, 74, of Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021. Born in Web-ster on Sept. 20, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Anna Zolock Hreno. John was a retired union pipefitter and had worked at Babcock & Wilcox, Frank Parker Company and Bergen Power Pipe Supports Inc. He was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Donora and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved music, especially Elvis Presley. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Hreno of Charleroi and Lori Ann (Omar) Roman of Irving, Texas; grandchild, Alaric Roman; sisters, Anna Jenkins of Monroeville, Elizabeth Hreno of North Fort Myers, Fla., Kathleen Culp of Confluence and Janet Fagan of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and fiancé, Marlene (Gray) Black and her family of Charleroi. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Stephen J. Wahal officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Fells Cemetery.
