Ruth Pauline Jeroski, 93, of Bay County, Fla., formerly of the Mon Valley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. Ruth was born on April 2, 1927, in Du-quesne. She was the daughter of the late John Edward and Carrie Makowski Novak. Her siblings, Catharine, Cecilia and Victor Novak preceded her in death. Her dear sister, Josie Valcho, survives her. She was the loving wife of the late Edward B. Jeroski for 62 years and was the proud mother of James F. (Vivien) Jeroski, Janet Nauer, the late Edward J. Jeroski, and the late David Jeroski, who is survived by his wife, Anna Jeroski. Ruth was always quick with a smile that lit up her heart. Generous and compassionate, her support to her family was unwavering. She especially enjoyed the company of family around the dinner table and found delight in her five grandchildren, Caitlin Nauer, Justine Weyers, Jessica Jeroski, Carole Ann Krause and Theresa Jeroski and three great grandchildren. She has been an avid card player for her whole life and loved to spend time at the local senior center. Deeply rooted in her faith, she celebrated Mass at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Panama City, Fla., and St James Catholic Church in Apollo, Pa., and was active on many committees. Ruth also enjoyed puzzles, reading and “Jeopardy!” A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church in Apollo, Pa., at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, with Father John Euker as celebrant. She will be interred with her husband, Edward, in St. Hedwig Cemetery, West Mifflin. Funeral arrangements are under the care of CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY INC., Apollo, Pa.
