Jessie I. Belvis – Deemston, formerly of California, Pa.

Jessie I. Belvis, 69, of Deemston, formerly of California, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021. She was born Thursday, March 27, 1952, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Norman and Gertrude Neil Watson. She worked at World Kitchen (Corning Glass), where she was a production support assistant. In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Belvis; sister, Lucile Mayton; and brother, Ted Watson. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Belvis of Deemston; nephew, Chad Watson; several nieces and nephews; and a special aunt and uncle, Nadine and Dennis Pennell. Friends will be received for a memorial service at United Christian Church, 499 E. Malden Drive, Coal Center, PA 15423 at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, with the Rev. Rachel Neil, the Rev. Amory Merriman and the Rev. Jana Quisenberry co-officiating. Interment and graveside committal will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery.
