John ‘Rick’ ‘Highbutt’ Stevenson – Charleroi

John “Rick” “Highbutt” Stevenson, 67, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 3, 2021, with his family by his side. Born on July 25, 1954, in North Charleroi, Rick is the son of the late John R. “Jack” and Helen Jean Harris Stevenson. Known around town by his nickname “Highbutt,” he earned his favorite nickname while playing middle school basketball. He was a member of the Charleroi Italian Club and the Charleroi Russian Club. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and golf. Highbutt always brought an inviting and welcoming presence to the room. Known for his special laugh, he was a generous, kind and caring man who will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Surviving to cherish Rick’s memory are his daughters, Armeda (Haven) Wojciak and Dallas Stevenson; his brother, Mark (Lee Ann) Stevenson; his sister, Nancy (the late Marvin) Greenberg; his grandson, Tobias Wojciak; and beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Harris Stevenson; and his sister, Kay Stevenson Minjock. Arrangements have been entrusted to SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
