Florence DiBiasi – Brownsville, formerly of Donora

Florence DiBiasi, 92, of Brownsville, formerly of Donora, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Mon Valley Care Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Webster on Aug. 16, 1929, a daughter of the late George and Ina Harrison Pickford. Mrs. DiBiasi was a Sunday school teacher for 35 years and had a love for the Bible and avidly studied it. She enjoyed going to the Center in the Woods and was a huge Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Adolph “Angelo” DiBiasi, on Dec. 30, 1999; and three sisters, Pearl Boyd, Charlene Turkovich and June Weisdack. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Maria (Val) Liberatore of Brownsville and Kathy (Marty) Liberatore of Lowhill; two sons, Angelo (Kelly) DiBiasi of Sewickley and David (Terri) DiBiasi of Donora; five grandchildren, Valentine (Mishic) Liberatore, Ross Liberatore, Alexander DiBiasi, Noah DiBiasi and Theo DiBiasi; two great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Adaline; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2021. A service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private and take place at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. To be socially responsible during this time of the increase in COVID-19 cases due to the new variants, we will continue to require guests to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
