Ida “Eva” Nudo Swann, 100, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Monessen on Dec. 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Louis and Caroline Greco Nudo. Mrs. Swann was a graduate of Monessen High School and lived in Monessen until moving to Belle Vernon in 1968. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John C. “Shine” Swann; son, John L. Swann Sr.; her daughter, LaVerne Pascoe; a brother, Orlando Nudo; and six sisters, Rose DeLuca, Mary Visca, Armie Pullion, Yola Beneccio, Ennis Sala and Dolly Sala. She is survived by her son, Robert J. and Valerie Swann of Monessen; five grandchildren, John L. (Tracey) Swann of Monessen, David (Ali) Swann of Panama City, Fla., Ethan L. Pascoe of Bridgeville, Jordan L. Pascoe of Vanderbilt and Carly (E.J.) Kim of The Woodlands, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Swann, Mia Pascoe, Anna Mae Pascoe, Gia Kim, Joey Kim and Evelyn Kim; a daughter-in-law, Michele Swann of Monessen; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends will be received at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, in the funeral home with Father Rodolfo Mejia. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum. The family kindly asks everyone attending the visitation and funeral service to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
