Shirley Mae Ripley, age 90, of McKeesport, died on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021. She was born in Connellsville on March 22, 1931, and is the daughter of the late Newton and Loretta Shaw Herrington. She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church in McKeesport and the Eastern Star. She loved swimming with her family, enjoyed music, dancing and shopping with friends. She absolutely loved her fur kittens, Destiny, Ginger Spice and Miss Chloe. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Eric) Jenkins of Plum Borough and Carla (Andrew) Nogy of East McKeesport; grandchild, Jessica (Rich) Stiles; nieces, Debbie (Vince) Marriotti, Kathy (Leo) Bourgeauit and Bobbi (the late Frank) Abbondanza; also great-grandchildren, Richard, Liam and Alexia; great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Herrington and Newton Herrington Jr. Family and friends are welcome at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. There will be a service with the Eastern Star and Pastor Jeff Conn at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. The family and our team members appreciate that all visitors follow appropriate guidelines of social distancing and wearing of masks if not fully vaccinated. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
