Robert G. Popp Jr., 68, of New Eagle, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, in his home. Born Jan. 12, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert G. Sr. and Margaret M. Chess Popp. A 1970 graduate of Monongahela High School, Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating and served four years during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked many years in the construction field. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-laws, David (Alethia) Popp and Jeffrey (Kathy) Popp; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice (Robert) Nuzzo and Patricia Henson; three nieces, Lesley, Sarah and Mandy; five nephews, Bill, Josh, Chris, Jesse and Rob; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Billy, Roger, Ethan, Shawna, Ruby, Ali, David, Becca, Mackenzie and Alexandra. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, with a luncheon to follow in the upstairs of the Hoot Owls Athletic Association, 129 Fourth Ave., New Eagle, PA 15067.
