Vivian Cheney, 93, of Charleroi, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, in her home. She was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Tar Hill, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Irene Cullen Hill. She enjoyed coloring and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Painter of Charleroi; three sons, Charles H. Cheney of Western Australia, Steven P. Cheney of Waynesboro and Harry R. Cheney II of McConnellsburg; five grandchildren, Lisa Torsney, Derek Stewart, Darian Painter, Paul Cheney and Brian Cheney; two great-grandsons, Antonio and Gino Torsney; stepgranddaughter, Leigh Willard; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Alexis and Chloe Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Raymond Cheney; brothers, Jim and Bobby Hill; and sisters, Dolores Thompson, Laura Mae Downer and Nancy Cox. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Round Hill Presbyterian Church, where a luncheon will be held following the service.
