Jean Fisher – Monongahela

Jean Fisher, 63, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021. She was born June 23, 1958, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late William F. and Ruth Whitehead Burge. She was Methodist by faith and was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 1976. She was employed at Monongahela Valley Hospital, where she worked in the environmental department. She was a member of the Hoot Owls Athletic Association in New Eagle, was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed going to Pirates games. She loved listening to classic rock, going swimming and was an avid bird enthusiast. She is survived by her sisters, Ginny and her husband Bill Watson, her twin Joan and her husband Joseph Evans, and Doris Forsberg, all of Monongahela; and her brothers, Bill and his wife Toni Burge of Monongahela and Dean and his wife Stephanie Burge of Finleyville; her loving and caring companion, Jim Wujcik and family; nieces and nephews, Connie Watson, Jeff Watson, Deanna Burge, Nathan Burge, Dean and his wife Jill Burge, Louie Wall, Brandie Wall and her daughter Becca and Jesse Chisholm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Burge; sister, Wendy Burge; and niece, Rena Burge; and numerous cousins, aunts and an uncle. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, on Sunday, Sept. 19, with Rev. Jude Urso officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either First United Methodist Church, 430 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063, or to Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela, PA 15063. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.fryefuneralhome.com.
