Irene Battistone – Rostraver Township

Irene Battistone, 85, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Sept. 15, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cokeburg, daughter of the late Frank Swatz and Mary Kulsic. Irene worked in various positions at Mon Valley Hospital for 32 years prior to her retirement. Surviving are her son, Robert (Leslie) Battistone of Rostraver Township; and a daughter, Lori Obbel (John) of Venetia; grandchildren, Audrye, Alexis, Michael and Olivia; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite pets, Pepper and Sparky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo Battistone; a daughter, Rita; and several brothers and sisters. Private funeral services were entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021.
