Jo Ann V. Opacic – Rostraver Township

By obits

Jo Ann V. Opacic, 83, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. Born in Patton Township, Pa., on Nov. 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Zelda Kenzevich Vuletich. She is survived by her son, Nicholas T. Opacic of Rostraver; daughter, Jo Ann (Steve) Borato of Economy Boro; granddaughter, Eva J. Smith of Sewickley; and sister, Mary Paich of Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Opacic; brother, Michael; sister, Mitzi; and brother-in-law, Milan. One of the hardest days of our lives was saying goodbye to our Mom. Our Mom passed away like she lived, completely how she wanted to do it! On her farm, horses in the field and her 7 month-old puppy, Phoenix, sleeping on the floor beside her. Those who were lucky enough to know our Mom knew she was a force to be reckoned with, SMART, TOUGH and a great business sense that helped her and our Dad live a wonderful life. And she did it ALL WITH STYLE! We know she’s with our Dad and her loved ones who passed before her and all of the horses, dogs and cats, that she loved and cared for over her lifetime. Thank You Mom for teaching us how to be the business people we are today. And to stand our ground, get up and get it done every day and “no” doesn’t mean “never,” it just means not now, so keep trying! We love and miss you so much already! “Vjecnaja Pamjat, Memory Eternal.” Funeral arrangements entrusted to the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com.
