Antoinette D. ‘Toni’ Benedetti – Getzville, N.Y., formerly of Monongahela

Antoinette D. “Toni” Benedetti, 93, of Getzville, N.Y., formerly of Monongahela, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, in Rosa Coplon Living Center, N.Y. Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of Saverio and Raffaella Amoia Marzello. Toni had worked for more than 20 years at Dierken’s Pharmacy in Monongahela until her retirement. An avid reader, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church in Monongahela and its Altar Rosary Christian Mother Society. Survived by son and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Frances Benedetti of Seattle, Wash., and Paulette Benedetti of Buffalo, N.Y. ; and three grandchildren, Gerri A., Alyson J. and Amy E. Benedetti. She was preceded in death by her husband Oswaldo in 1992; and son Louis in 2000. She was the last surviving Marzello sibling, preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Vincent Marzello; and four sisters, Angela Ceppaglia, Ann Giangreco, Josephine Edwards and Rose Marzello. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, and where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, with Deacon Alex Poroda officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Toni’s name to the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W. Main St., Monongahela, or the Park Creek Senior Living Community in Williamsville, N.Y.
