James R. Randall – Parkersburg, W.Va. formerly of Fairhope

James R. Randall, 76, passed away July 21, 2021. He was a 1962 graduate of Belmar High School and later graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. He earned a master’s degree in education. Jim, a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked as a teacher of military families for the Department of Defense in Germany and England. Jim enjoyed playing football, rugby and skiing. He was honest, warm, and kind to all who knew him. He loved to tell humorous stories. He enjoyed the arts, music and theater, and traveling. When he traveled, he would send postcards from all over the world to friends and family. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Randall of Fairhope; sister, Margaret Alice; and brothers, William and Joseph. He leaves behind his loving wife, Virginia Lord Randall; son, Joshua; daughter-in-law, Julie; grandsons, Caleb and Nicholas; granddaughter, Lila; sisters, Mary Kathryn, Anne, Sandra, Phyllis and Virginia; and a brother, Steve. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at St. Xavier Catholic Church, Parkersburg, W. Va.
