Julia Ann Brudnik, 90, of Elco, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. She was born on Jan. 2, 1931, the daughter of Louis and Anna Sninchak Krivacek. Julia was retired from Equibank of California, Pa. She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of the former Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Roscoe, where she often volunteered with the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Roscoe American Legion Post No. 801 Ladies Auxiliary. Julia enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player, loved playing cards, going to the Meadows and card club. She is survived by her son, Frank (Patricia) Brudnik Jr. of Elco; three daughters; Judy (Mark) Mendicino of Belle Vernon, Elaine (Gary) Clement of Windermere, Fla., and Diane (John) Ventura of Roscoe; eight granddaughters, Carlee (Jeremiah) Thomas, Alexis Clement, Amy Mendicino (Joe Morrison), Laura Mendicino (Lee Johnson), Sarah (Andrew) Lewis, Rebecca (Jayson) Krepps, Haley Ventura and Valerie (Adam) Schaum; 15 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emma Thomas, Wyatt Jennings, Taylor, Nathan and Kendall Morrison, Holden, Lola and Bodie Johnson, Lucy, Henry and Abigail Lewis, Vance and Luna Krepps and Jonah Schaum; two sisters, Margaret Kopach of Charleroi and Catherine Martin of Roscoe; a sister-in-law, Donna Krivacek of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank “Stuey” Brudnik Sr. in 2007; and a brother, Paul Krivacek. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, with the Rev. James Bump presiding. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Online condolences may be expressed at www.melenyzer.com.
