Mary Ann DeZardo Thornley, 77, of Donora, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born on May 2, 1944, in North Charle- roi, a daughter of the late Constance W. and Margaret Barna DeZardo. She was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Mrs. Thornley loved spending time with her family and was an avid bingo player who enjoyed going to the casino. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald DeZardo, Robert DeZardo and Constance “Bosco” DeZardo; and two nephews, David and Robert DeZardo. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, David T. Thornley; two daughters, Beth Thornley and Dawn (Sean Gaskill) Cesovski, both of Donora; three grandchildren, Breann Thorpe, Derek Cesovski and Michael Vasquez; a great-grandson, Milo Perlick; a sister, Jeannie Ayd of Maryland; a sister-in-law, Linda DeZardo of Monessen; several nieces, nephews; and many friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.
