Thomas Joseph Zelinsky, 92, of Monongahela, formerly of Levittown, Pa., and born and raised in Donora, passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2021, after a long ill-ness at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Joseph and Teresa Marie Zelinsky of Donora; a brother, John; sister, Anne Matesich; and a granddaughter, Christine Zelinsky. He was a graduate of Donora High School and enjoyed playing football. He was a veteran of the Korean War as an Army rifleman and then after almost 30 years, retired from U.S. Steel’s Fairless Works. He enjoyed football, baseball, music, collecting German steins and an ice-cold beer after a hard day’s work or a hot summer day. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife of 64 years, Joan; three sons Thomas (Maureen), David and Ronald (Sherry); two daughters, Louise Redding and Anna Marie McCormick; a sister, Mary Kalfbell; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L.
